.:Two Years:.

Can you believe that this little baby...

Is two years old??

Brayden turned two just over a week ago! We had a Mickey Mouse birthday for him. He calls Mickey just “Mouse”. He is talking a ton. We took him for his two year doctor visit and his talking is advanced for his age. So is his height! He was in the 85% for weight and off the charts for height. We knew this before we heard it from the doctor! He is wearing 3T pants because his legs are sooo long. But we have to buy the adjustable waist because he is a skinny little thing. A short update on our little guy:

• He has a fun personality, he is very happy almost all of the time. He makes us laugh A LOT!
• He wants to help with everything! Cleaning, laundry, anytime we are carrying things he wants to help.
• He calls me Mama and Preston Daddy most of the time, but sometimes he calls daddy “Pres”. If he needs help with something he’ll say “PRES!”
• He never stops moving... he makes me tired watching him go! He actually doesn’t sleep enough for his age, he is to busy, but we are working on getting him to rest more.
• He has been talking up a storm lately, when he is sleeping I notice how quiet it is... some days he will talk all. day. long! But I love it... he is actually kind of funny!
• He can sing his A, B, C’s with extra P’s and T’s for the letters he doesn’t remember. He knows the tune and sings it almost every night while we prepare dinner.
• He can almost count to 10. He likes to do every other number. So if we count with him he will count from 1 to 10. If not he likes the even numbers best! 1, 2, 4, 6... I’m not sure why he does this.
• He LOVES trucks, tractors, planes and trains. While we drive he points out every (seriously) every single one. AND when we see a train or Trax he calls it Thomas. When they pass and are gone he says “Bye, Bye Thomas.” It’s makes me smile every time!
• His newest favorite thing is to color. He will sit down after dinner with his book and ask “Where my colors?” So we’ve starting coloring after dinner before bath almost every night.
• He loves his family! If someone is missing he will ask about them. “Where daddy go?” “Where Papa go?” He will actually go through the whole group. He does the same thing at bedtime even if they have been around or not. He will say “Night, Night, Papa... Night, Night Nana, Isa, Mana, Chady, Treby, Drewy, Manny” and then start all over again.
• He gives great hugs! He just started this, but he’ll run over and hug for no reason at all and it just melts my heart.

We just love Brayden so much and can’t get enough of him. He is so sweet and fills our home with sunshine every day! We are so blessed to have him.
We’ve had so many things going on... I really need to catch up. My mom did Thanksgiving dinner, and it was awesome! All the kids and my Grandma Verna and Grandpa Chad were able to come up and have dinner with us. It was so great to see them! The weekend after Thanksgiving we did our traditional putting up of the Christmas decorations. Preston got the tree all ready and I put up the Christmas village, then we added the lights to the tree, Brayden was a great help with all of it. He even added the final touch and put the angel on top of the tree!

I love Thanksgiving and Christmas! This time of year is my very favorite! It is a time of remembrance and Thanksgiving, a time of creating memories, and a time for enjoying all the blessings we have been giving. This year has been a great year for us! We are excited with what the New Year will bring. We love you all!
